Israel Hamas War: Israel’s Foreign Minister said that after the ongoing war with Hamas, Israel will stop the United Nations agency from working in Gaza for Palestinian refugees. Earlier, Israel had accused UNRWA employees of being involved in the attack in Israel.

The Israeli minister posted on Twitter: “We have been warning for years that UNRWA perpetuates the refugee issue and hinders peace. UNRWA works for Hamas in Gaza.” He also demanded the United Nations (UN) to take immediate action on UNRW. He also accused many UNRWA employees of being allies of Hamas.

Hamas urged the United Nations not to bow down

Palestinian extremist group Hamas on Saturday (January 27) condemned Israel’s decision regarding UARWA. Also urged the United Nations and other international organizations not to bow before any blackmailing country.

UNRWA had said on Friday (January 26) that its employees whom Israel had accused after the attacks by Hamas on October 7, have been dismissed.

America closed the fund

The Israeli minister had praised America’s decision to stop funding UNRWA. Apart from this, Australia and Canada also banned the funding of UNRWA. United Nations spokesman Stephane Dujarric said that UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has promised to immediately review UNRWA.

According to Israeli official figures, 1140 Israeli people died in the attack by Hamas on October 7, 2023, most of whom were civilians. After this, Israel retaliated and targeted the Gaza Strip and started destroying Hamas positions.
